This unit will help you understand what aridity means, where arid regions are and what causes them, and the landforms and features of arid landscapes. This unit is also relevant to key A level concepts of causality, systems, and feedback. There is another unit on drylands to follow on from this one – ‘Pressures on arid landscapes: Australia’.
