Maps and cartographical skills in GCSE geography

This tutorial provides opportunities for students to develop the map and cartographical skills required for GCSE geography.

Using real-world contexts students engage with OS maps and a range of data presentation techniques to:

• use and interpret OS maps
• understand scale, distance and direction
• develop skills in drawing sketch maps
• select appropriate maps for data presentation.
